The outgoing Surgeon General of the United States, Vivek H. Murthy,  published an open letter to the American public in People Magazine urging us to rethink how we're living our lives.  He writes that he has grappled with the question of what are the deeper root causes of the pain and unhappiness that he encounters so often across our country, harming our health (physical and mental), robbing us of our optimism, and contributing to division and polarization.  He says that he has come to the conclusion that the three elements that fuel our well-being are relationships, service and purpose.  All three, he says, have diminished in many of our lives. "We need a clear and explicit shift that puts relationships, service, and purpose at the heart of society - and our lives." 

 Well.  

That sounds like a description of what happens here.  It's not central to what we do - God is central - but the shift he speaks of happens here.
