The November edition of The Journey is now available.
Yesterday was All Saints Day, and today is All Souls Day. During this time we remember those who have died in Christ, whether a great and famous saint, someone known only to a few, or someone time has forgotten. These days will be marked by our celebration of All Saints Sunday this week at church. If you would like to light a candle of remembrance of someone, you may do so before worship on Sunday morning.
Prayer:
Almighty God, with whom still live the spirits of those who die in the Lord, and with whom the souls of the faithful, after they are delivered from the burden of the flesh, are in joy and felicity: We give you heartfelt thanks for the good examples of your servants who, having finished their course in faith, now find rest and refreshment; and we pray that we, with all who have departed in the true faith of your Holy Name, may have perfect fulfillment and bliss both in body and soul in your eternal and everlasting glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
