It was a wonderful Sunday at the ladies' Tea for Ukraine. Over $1400 was raised to support Lutheran World Relief's work in addressing the refugee crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Bishop Strickland will be here this Sunday! Please make every effort to attend. Coffee and conversation at 9:30 am, Worship at 11:00 am, and a covered dish meal following worship.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 22.
There will be two opportunities to receive ashes and Holy Communion that day. The first will be held at noon and will be a brief service that will last about 20-30 minutes. The second service at 7:00 pm will be a full Ash Wednesday liturgy and will last about an hour.
For those who wish to make a private confession, Pastor Robb will be available immediately after each service that day.
Be on the lookout for an additional email this week that will provide more details about Lent at St. Luke.

Prayer of the Day
O God, in the transfiguration of your Son you confirmed the mysteries of the faith by the witness of Moses and Elijah, and in the voice from the bright cloud declaring Jesus your beloved Son, you foreshadowed our adoption as your children. Make us heirs with Christ of your glory, and bring us to enjoy its fullness, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
